In September 2014 my doctor pointed me towards CrossFit Fort Pierce because I needed an exercise outlet. I was already on two medications and close to being on two more. I went to CrossFit Fort Pierce after my doctor’s appointment because I knew if I didn’t go then, I probably would not go back. When I walked in, I saw a group of individuals who had just finished working out and Missy walking up to introduce herself. I instantly felt that it this could work for me. When I first started, I knew it was going to be difficult; but I knew the ends would justify the means. Over the course of the past year, I have lost nearly 55 pounds, met great people I love to see when I come to workout, and have realized how much I love CrossFit. Not only for the physical and health attributes, but the mental and emotional ones as well. I love that I can lift weight and lift it properly. I just recently got full range of motion on squats and doing proper burpees (God help me). Thank you to Missy and Tony who first held my hand in the beginning, to everyone that pushed to finish even when I was the last one working, helping me with proper form, and those who collapsed with me after a workout. I love how CrossFit has helped in me in all aspects on my life.
