The Open is Coming

The CrossFit Open is an opportunity for all athletes to compete in a series of workouts. If you are interested in competing in the Open through CrossFit you must sign-up online. CFFP will also hold an in-house open. The CFFP Open will also require a simple sign up for participation through Tony. All Open workouts will be completed during class times on Friday’s. More details below:

IN HOUSE OPEN COMP

Friday = Open WOD Day: Each Friday, the Open WOD becomes our class workout of the day.

Submission Deadlines: You've got until the following Monday, 8 PM, to submit your WOD scores.

Can't Make It Friday? No worries! If you're traveling or have other commitments, simply connect with a coach. We've got backup options for Saturday and Monday, or you can drop into another gym while you're away.

The Intramural Twist: We're spicing things up by dividing participants into small teams. It's not just about individual glory; your team will rack up points over three weeks through various challenges.

How Points Work:

  • 3 Points for completing the Open workout in Friday's class.

  • 3 Points for sporting your team colors during the workout.

  • 3 Points for engaging in our "Minute to Win It" Thursday challenge (1 point for joining, 3 for conquering the challenge).

Some key dates:

CrossFit Open Registration: January 15th

2025 Crossfit Open: February 27-March 17th

Each month we spotlight a CFFP athlete who stands out. We are always looking for that athlete that shows up, gives their best, and then gives more. These athletes are ready to learn, ready to work, support their fellow classmates, and encourage others to reach their goals. If you have someone in mind please send your suggestions for August’s Athlete of the Month via email to crossfitfortpierce@gmail.com or you can DM the instagram page sharing why you think this athlete is deserving.
